Joy Divisions curated by Eva Ball
Van Gallery at Columbus Metropolitan Library (front lawn of Main Library)
96 S. Grant Street, Columbus Ohio

Mark Van Fleet's Van Gallery housed the works of 16 artists and was situated in the front lawn of Columbus Library. Passers-by were invited to eat food provided by local sponsors and listen to a DJ presentation of every album released by Joy Division and a few rarities totaling 5.5 hours of music. A multi-authored catalog, published by Eva Ball & Company, showcases artwork in the exhibition and delves into topics of sex slavery in the 21st century, Nazi imagery in post-punk fashion and the power of witnessing, among others. The catalog is available for sale and also from the library's reference collection.

Aritsts and writers included in Joy Divisions: Jen Burton, Amy Mallat, Ian Ruffino, Laura Bradigan, Grant Earl LaValley, Mark Harris, Nicholas Crane, Hannah Barnes, Ryan Agnew, Paul Simmons, Carmel Buckley, Kelly Kaser, Chad Shepherd, Wes Flexner, Dan Olsen, Marshall Barnes, Beth Murphy, Rebecca Loar, Dina Sherman, Tina Matthews, Joshua Erb, Michael Stickrod, and Erica Bailey.
